Your Tasks
Troubleshoot, repair, improve, and develop solutions for the robotic welding equipment with little or no guidance.
· Lead, train, coordinate, motivate, coach, and support production staff to meet operating, safety and quality requirements, ensuring expectations are clear and understood.
· Ensure adherence to company rules and policies, and provide first level of support for any escalated issue during work shift.
· Communicate and collaborate with other departments to identify and implement improvements, resolve part and process concerns, reduce defects, and minimize equipment downtime.
- Rework wheels by manually welding
· Perform/assist with daily PM’s, welding setups and changeovers to support production.
· Perform quality checks/tests to ensure only parts that meet customer approval are produced.
· Maintain and manage welding equipment consumables.
· Manage fixtures and tooling.
· Create and modify robotic welding programs to weld materials to Engineering specifications.
· Ensure assemblies are welded to meet design and specification requirements.
· Lean focused. Help ensure proper parts flow and quantities required are met.
· Read and analyze blueprints and engineering documents to adjust process to meet design specifications.
· Train welding operators.
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications
Experience technically troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment
MIG/TIG/CMT welding experience/working knowledge (welding certification preferred), and the ability to apply that knowledge to the production process (especially welding aluminum)
Technical degree such as Associate or Bachelor’s in Welding, Robotic Welding, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred
2+ or more years of effective/progressive experience in robotic welding and ability to apply that knowledge to the production process.
Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
Experience with metric standards and use of calipers.
Ability to make visual inspections for quality, etc. per defined work instructions
Read, write, speak and understand English
Dexterity, standing, twisting, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
